Pantone Colour experts have announced the Colour of the Year for 2019. 'Living Coral'. Slightly more pastel than the Red / Orange Coral, but more vibrant than Peach. Just as Greenery reminded us of all the Avocado pictures on Instagram for 2016, this years colour reminds us of the Pink Grapefruits we've seen uploaded on Social Media. It's warm and exotic but easy to wear as it's not the very brightest of Corals.
Coral is one of the most spectacular colours to have become fashionable in recent years (this is not the first year its featured in the wardrobes of any fashionista). Initially to those not used to wearing coral, it may seem difficult to combine, but the truth is that there are numerous options to choose as it combines well with lot's of colours you already have in your wardrobe. 'Living Coral' is a soft orange, and can be worn by most people regardless of skin or hair tone because it has equal parts of warm and cool combined in it. Against our skin, Coral is universally flattering on all skin tones. Coral can work, either as your main colour or as an accent. Read my tips on how to filter Living Coral into your outfits... Spring and Summer might be the most popular seasons to tie the knot, but Winter has its own charm and romance making it a magical time for weddings.
If you're attending a winter wedding, the number of colour combinations are more than you thought. Flatter the bride and groom, showing them you’ve been creative with your efforts for their big day. Experiment with new shapes and wintry colours. All jewel colours work well in winter, or the colours of fallen leaves. See the "Hatista's" Winter Wedding Outfit Ideas
Pantone Colour experts predicted Ultra Violet the Colour of the Year for 2018, and for the first 6 months, it was indeed Ultra Popular. Recently though Golden Yellow has been the colour jumping into every fashionistas shopping bags. First Amal Clooney wore all over yellow for the Wedding of the Year on the 19th May, and then Meghan Markle switched her usual neutrals to cheery yellow during her Royal outing in London in June. Since then it seems everyone is looking for ways to wear this cheery hue.
Few other than professional catwalk strutters would ever attempt head-to-toe yellow. Consider your outfit well though, and yellow - the colour associated with optimism - isn't so difficult after all... Read the "Hatista's" outfit suggestions for Yellow.

In the Press
“Guess what's just opened in Ascot? Our first hat shop. For crying out loud, how come no one's thought to do this before?
More behatted heads than anywhere else in the world descend upon Ascot for five days every year and ladies of a certain disposition will always be prone to an additional purchase. It's so blindingly obvious, it's almost annoying.
It just proves that a lot of the time you can make hard work out of looking for the next best thing when it might be right under your nose all the time. Helmet shop in Silverstone, anyone?
Or if you really want to make a killing, a pasty and tea shop combined - and as close to my front door as possible.“
— Chris Evans (TV Presenter, DJ and Journalist) - Daily Mail
“My wife has never been that fond of hats, so that's something she's had to go out and find, and I think she's chosen very well.“
— Dennis Gethin, President of the Welsh Rugby Union in interview to Press at the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William + Kate Middleton.
